CRYPTIDS - The Fresno Night Crawlers

This project entailed illustrating one of five Cryptid creatures for Cloak brand to be used in an apparel collection. Cryptids are mythical creatures such as Big Foot or the Chupacabra. The main graphic here features the mysterious The Fresno Night Crawlers, a cryptid first documented in Fresno, California. It is semi-humanoid, white in color, long-legged, and typically spotted in pairs. Stylistically we landed on this silhouette look using dramatic night lighting that helps obscure and convey a sense of mystery rather than an obvious detailed render of the creature. Each creature received its own custom logotype, used as a front print for the apparel. Art Direction by Mike Pargas
